Roles and Responsibilities
As a Software Engineer at IBM India Systems Development Lab (ISDL), you will:
- Contribute across the full product development lifecycle—design, development, testing, and support.
- Work on cutting-edge technologies including Operating Systems, Firmware, Storage & Cloud Software.
- Collaborate with global teams and interface with product managers, developers, and users.
- Analyze requirements, design efficient solutions, write robust code, and perform thorough testing.
- Be a part of high-performance, culturally diverse teams delivering top-tier user experiences.
Eligibility Criteria
Required Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
Required Technical Skills
- Proficiency in programming languages like C, C++, Java, Python, GoLang, ReactJS, Groovy
- Strong grasp of Operating System Concepts (Unix/Linux), Data Structures, and Algorithms
- Familiarity with Cloud and Virtualization Technologies (OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker, Microservices)
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Preferred Skills
- Experience with DevOps, OpenStack, Security, and Cloud Application Development
- Knowledge of Web UI frameworks like ReactJS, Vaadin, Bootstrap, Material UI
- Hands-on with JavaScript, Ansible, REST APIs, SQL, Node.js
- Understanding of AI/ML, Data Science, NLP concepts
